Good therapy is rooted in trusting relationships.

At Kettering Counseling I take an empathic approach to therapy that creates a safe space for clients to navigate their feelings and experiences.

My approach

My therapeutic style is grounded in building trusting relationships with my clients, incorporating a balance of openness and humor to create a comfortable and supportive environment. My approach is primarily informed by Carl Rogers' client-centered therapy and Stephen Hayes' Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), both of which are non-directive styles that empower clients to take the lead in their therapeutic journey.

Services

Individual Therapy

My experience has uniquely prepared me to work with a wide variety of clients: adult-aged professionals who may be dealing with leadership and/or change-related stress, Veterans, individuals grappling with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and trauma, college student-athletes, and high school students.

Couples Therapy

My experience in team dynamics also makes me particularly adept at couples counseling, as I understand the importance of effective communication, trust, and cooperation in maintaining healthy relationships.

Committed to You

“It is the therapist’s role to empathize, to reflect the internal experience of the client as sensitively and honestly as possible. Through that relationship journey, the client finds progress for themselves.’’
